For the
International Day of Light, on May 16th 2020 the organisers of the Brixen Water Light Festival will launch a real signal of hope through an exclusive artistic performance accompanying the passage from night to day in an appointment that wants to spread optimism.
The
Italian artist Stefano Cagol, who has been dealing with environmental issues for years, on the International Day of Light launches universal signals, distress calls, presence notices, attempts to communicate, to meet, to lighten the darkness from an iconic deserted Cathedral Square in Brixen.
"Signal to the Future" is based on a minimalist, silent, but extremely present and refined lighting effect given by nautical distress signals in the hands of the artist in a contemporary propitiatory ritual.
"Signal to the Future" will be broadcast
live at 5am on Saturday 16 May on the
Water Light Festival Facebook page or after on
www.waterlightfestival.it.
