Dumpling Festival in Vipiteno/Sterzing

On a row of tables more than 400 meters long and stretching from the new town to the old town, innkeepers from the entire region serve more than 70 different types of dumpling, from traditional bacon dumplings to others including asparagus dumplings and beetroot dumplings, not forgetting the large choice of sweet dumplings in all their variations.
"Gassltörggelen" at Chiusa/Klausen

Organised for the first time in 2004, Chiusa now celebrates this centuries old Valle Isarco/Eisacktal tradition in its own special way in its picturesque streets, on various long Saturdays in September.

Speck Festival at Val di Funes/Villnöss
6th and 7th October 2018
The production of Speck, speciality ham and bacon, is a tradition going back hundreds of years in South Tyrol. The Funes/Villnöss valley dedicates a whole weekend in October to this top quality product. The festival starts on Saturday with the motto “Rural Heritage”, during which an insight is given into the work and customs of farmers, and the Villnöss Brillenschaf sheep takes pride of place.
