The Pfunderer Höfeweg Trail

Educational itinerary along new and old farms

The Höfeweg (lit: Farm Trail) is an educational circuit trail that runs to new and old farms. Artisans who still practice the traditional handicrafts still live in some farmsteads. These are only open to visitors within the framework of guided tours. The Höfeweg Trail is designed to expose the visitor to the beauty and treasures of this area, which has little tourism, and at the same time make the locals aware of just how unique their region truly is.

The total length of the Höfweg Trail is 7 km, but you can also choose a shorter route, which runs just 3.5 km. The Höfeweg is equipped with information stations, reference signs and orientation boards. The path has been designed in a child-friendly way and is also suitable for family hikes. There are numerous places to sit along the way, where you can enjoy the beautiful panorama of the valley and the extremely steep mountains: they offer a nice opportunity for hikers to stop and take it all in. The people living in the farms along the way are open and friendly: they’ll be happy to provide insights into their life and work.
