Snowshoeing in the Isarco Valley

Hushed footsteps through the Valley of Trails

An enchanted winter wonderland and nobody around for far and wide – only peace and quiet and the crunch of fresh snow under your feet. In winter, snowshoeing is a wonderful way to experience the most tranquil side of the Isarco Valley along its complex network of trails, across high alpine meadows and through forests.

Appreciate nature with all your senses far removed from the ski slopes and lifts, in pristine forests, breathing fresh air and clear vistas. Here, snowshoeing and winter hiking are experiences that touch the soul. Many of the well-marked winter hiking trails, mountain routes and secluded paths offer spectacular panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and of the Dolomites. Especially popular snowshoe hikes include the route to the Stoanamandl stone figures in Spinges, Astjoch Pass from Rio di Pusteria above Rodengo/Rodeneck or Plose Mountain above Brixen. Tours with hiking guides are also available
