The Isarco Valley offers about fifty
sledging runs. From the short, child-friendly run down a hill all the way to the floodlit trails at
Plose and Monte Cavallo, which are more than 10 km in length, there is something for everyone when it comes to sledging. The run at
Monte Cavallo near Vipiteno was voted the international ADAC Test Winner in 2011, making it the best trail in the German-speaking area. The Isarco Valley places a great deal of importance on variety. On certain days of the week, several of the Isarco Valley ski areas offer a special treat for friends, groups and families: sledging during the full moon along runs that are either floodlit or partially illuminated with torches.
Many runs offer rental sleds at the starting point; along the trails rustic huts and mountain taverns entice sledders to stop off for a nice break and bite to eat.
