From 19th April to 21st April, the event Algund Gardenflair will once again take place on church square in Algund. At the Algund Gardenflair a variety of Mediterranean plants and trees such as palm trees, cacti, olive trees, various fruit and berry trees and herbs, as well as various works of art and all kinds of decoration for the garden will be offered. Exhibitors with different herbal products, such as teas, salts and spice blends, as well as specialties from the garden complete the program.

The traditional Blossom Farm Festival on Sunday, 21 April is dedicated to the historic farms and farmsteads, which give the public an insight into farm life and treat them to farmhouse delicacies.

n the villages of Vilpian, Siebeneich and Terlan asparagus has been grown for centuries. Today 15 asparagus growers in Terlan plant approx. 10 ha of high quality asparagus and sell it under the trade mark and hallmark of excellence Margarete. The elegant looking and extremely mild tasting Terlan asparagus is very popular with the connoisseurs of this white spring vegetable. In April and May several restaurants invite visitors to enjoy classic and creative asparagus dishes made with the valuable Margarete asparagus. Fresh asparagus with home-cured ham, boiled potatoes and Bozner sauce is one of the classics. The meal is accompanied by the fine, mineral containing Terlano “asparagus wine” (Sauvignon) from the Terlan winery.

Amidst vineyards overlooking Lake Kaltern, the Sinn family is producing organic wines since 2013. The wines are vinified in wooden and steel barrels as well as in clay amphorae. The Farmers' Youth of Schenna cordially invites you to the "Frühschoppen" at the covered Raiffeisenplatz. The day begins at 10 a.m. with a solemn mass at the parish church of Schenna. Following that, the tractor consecration is on the agenda, where agricultural vehicles are blessed for a successful harvest and safe work. From 11 a.m. onwards, the Bohemian band "Blech und Frech" will ensure a festive atmosphere. Naturally, food and drinks will also be provided for your well-being.
