Welcome to the Jagerhof in Valgenäun!
Josef, the junior farmer with his wife Annemarie and their little daughter Laura, and Johann, the senior farmer with his wife Maria, welcome You to the Jagerhof-farm!
Our farm
 Our farm is situated in the hamlet called Valgenäun in the very beautiful Wipptal-Valley at 1000m above sea-level. The few farms of our hamlet are all surrounded by fields and woods, in other words it’s a perfect location for a relaxing holiday.
Our farm consists of a new residential building and of a nearby working quarter composed by a stable and a barn.
In 1435 our farm was mentioned in official documents for the very first time, where as the farm’s name (Jagerhof) dates from 1775. At that time the owner was a well-known hunter (= Jager).
Our farm is situated in a quiet and very sunny place with wunderful views of the surrounding mountains, the main valley Wipptal and the Alps. Arround our sunny house You may find a lot of space to relax and where Your children can play.

Living on the farm
  Dairy farming is usually on a farm in our area. Also on the Jagerhof we keep milk cows and calves.
Did You know that every animal has its own name?
The job at the farm is varied, close to nature and last but not least very time-consuming. Every day, early in the morning and in the evening the farmer has to look after the animals in the stable and to milk the cows. Moreover, during the summer the work to gather hay on the fields takes a lot of time.
 Fowls can’t be missing on a farm. They are enjoying their liberty, as You may see.
 Products from the farm
On request we can provide you with fresh products from our farm such as fresh eggs, milk, vegetables and herbs from our garden.

Staying at the Jagerhof
 On the Jagerhof we offer to our guests 3 new, traditional furnished and comfortable apartments for 2 to 5 persons. All the apartments have floor heating and are completly equipted with

- towels for hands and bath, bedding and bed linen naturally

In the old farmers house is enough room available for your bikes, skis and others with the possibility to lock them.

The prices are per apartment and per night.
- For big families we can let the apartments „S. Valentin“ and „Tatschblick“ together – price for request.

- For each further person we calculate an extra charge of 8,00 Euro.
|
- Children until 3 years don’t pay. Children until 12 years get a price reduction of 25%.
|
- The above-mentioned prices are per apartment and per night for a stays of at least 5 overnight stays. Final cleaning, towels for hand and bath, bedding and bed linen are included in the price.
|
- Should You stay less then 4 overnight stays we calculate an extra charge of 15% of the total price.
|
- In the case You should stay for 2 weeks You are entitled to get a price reduction of 5%, and in the case of 3 weeks stay the price reduction is 15% of the total price.
|
- For pets we calculate a single surcharge of 15,00 Euro.

Surroundings
Valgenäun is remarkable with its beautiful, late Gothic church of S. Valentin, built around the 15th century. It was build on the hillock of the sunny mountain ridge of Valgenäun and is visible from every direction.
 The next village, the famous place of pilgrimage Maria Trens, distances only 1,5km and is reachable by foot without any problem along a nice walking path.
After Maria Weißenstein Maria Trens is the most important place of pilgrimage in South Tirol. Its picture of mercy is mentioned in 1470. Very artistic and interesting are the numerous votive paintings.
 The picturesque and historic city Vipiteno can be reached by car in 10 minutes. Favorable bus connections are also existing and the bus stop distants only some hundred meter from our farm.
 Vipiteno, the old city of the Fugger family, presents itself to the visitor with medieval flair and modern charm. The town is like a pearl in the middle of the ravishing surroundings of fields, woods, alpine pastures and the Stubaier and Zillertaler glaciers.
 Even the side valleys in our area inspire You certainly with their fascinating and unspoiled nature.
 The summer invite to enjoy and relax, to walk, to hike, climb and bike. Furthermore, a lot of mountain bike trips are possible. You can visit many sights in Vipiteno as well as its side valleys and You will get many possibilities to know the local traditions and culture..
Even the wintertime in Wipptal-Valley is exciting and really promising!

 Modern and high performance lifts as well as long, large and attractive pistes guarantee attractive offers for families, young people and seniors.
 Above all, the side valleys Ridanna, Val di Vizze and Val di Fleres invite You for cross-country skiing and enjoying an unique winter landscape.
Very inviting and exciting are the numerous natural toboggan-runs, which take You up to the alpine pastures of the surroundings of Vipiteno.
Ski mountaineering is even more and more popular.
How can you join our farm:
 Take the exit Vipiteno from the highway A22. At the first traffic circle you should follow the indication Brennero. After about 100 meters you arrive at a second traffic circle and there you should take the direction Bressanone. After 5 kilometres you come to a little village called Campo di Trens which you have to pass by. Please drive for further 500 meters and than you meet a little street on the left with the indication Valgenauna. There you should turn and take this street. Drive hill upwards and after a short while you see some houses. Our farm is the first house on the right you come along.
