Bressanone/Brixen puts great emphasis on all things to do with wine, since Novacella/Neustift is the most northerly vine growing area of Italy. In the merry month of May weekly events centred on the fruit of the vine and highlights such as “Wine and Cheese” or “Wine and Women” take place. A “Sylvaner-Symposium” including wine tasting, seminars and lectures, a wine tasting held by Valle Isarco/Eisacktal wine producers for trade customers in one of the historic buildings of the vine growing area, the venue changing each year, the “Fascination Wine” festival under the arcades of Bressanone in July, in which the Valle Isarco vintners and alternating partners from the surrounding farms offer their produce for tasting, are the highlights of the series of “Wine” events.
